By plane: Beijing has two airports, Beijing Daxing International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport. Both airports have numerous international and domestic routes. Recommended route: Take the cable car up - hike the east line - take the toboggan down Take the fully enclosed cable car easily up to the higher part of the Great Wall (around Watchtower No. 14), then begin your east-line hike. This section is relatively gentle, surrounded by pines and cypresses along the way, with the Great Wall winding like a giant dragon along the verdant ridges, offering extraordinarily magnificent scenery.
