First, you will start from Gubeikou. [Gubeikou Great Wall] was once one of the strategic strongholds in ancient times, built to protect Beijing from northern Mongol tribes. Here you will hike for about 2 hours to reach the Twenty-Four-Eye Window Tower, then bypass the restricted area and follow a trail to [Jinshanling Great Wall], which takes about 1.5 hours. Then continue along the Jinshanling Great Wall, hiking for about 1 hour to reach Xiwuyan Tower, a high point of the Jinshanling Great Wall and the best spot for photographing the majestic, winding Great Wall. Then descend the mountain from Zhuanduokou. Return to your hotel in Gubei Water Town for a good rest.

Today our Great Wall hiking trip still starts from Zhuanduokou. You will traverse the eastern section of the Jinshanling Great Wall, passing watchtowers such as General Tower, Small Jinshan Tower, and Great Jinshan Tower, learning the history of each watchtower and taking excellent travel photos. After the visit, continue hiking east to [Simatai Great Wall]. Simatai Great Wall is the only ancient architectural site in China that retains its original Ming dynasty appearance, famous worldwide for its five characteristics: steepness, density, regularity, ingenuity, and completeness. Then descend the mountain from Dongwuyan Tower of the Simatai Great Wall and return to the hotel. At this point, this journey officially comes to an end.
